The game, titled <em>Lili<\/em>, is a \u201cscreen life thriller video game\u201d where you\u2019ll have access to a modern-day Lady Macbeth\u2019s personal devices, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlayers will be immersed in a stylized, neo-noir vision of modern Iran, where surveillance and authoritarianism are part of daily life,\u201d the release says. \u201cThe gameplay will feature a blend of live-action cinema within an interactive game format, giving players the chance to immerse themselves in the world of Lady Macbeth and make choices that influence her destiny.\u201d It sounds kind of like a version of <em>Macbeth<\/em> inspired by Sam Barlow\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2019\/8\/23\/20828666\/telling-lies-review-steam-iphone-sam-barlow-interactive-thriller-her-story\">interactive<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2024\/1\/9\/24031558\/immortality-is-coming-to-ps5\">thrillers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Royal Shakespeare Company is making the game in collaboration with iNK Stories, a New York-based indie studio and publisher that also made <em>1979 Revolution: Black Friday<\/em>.
